UPDATED SYLLABUS

Please would Candidates note that there have been some updates/changes to the syllabuses so please be advised that you should check each syllabus to ensure that you have covered all the subjects.
Of particular importance:

Module Three:

Module Four:
The IDEAS principles when teaching from Module 4 onwards.

Module Two:
Some basic knowledge of Equine Dentition.
Knowledge of “Condition scoring”.
Knowledge of Governmental Acts which refer to the welfare of horses.

Know about how horses learn.  Be able to fit a pelham bit. Be able to assess paces in Lunging. Know about euthanasia.  

Module One:

Know different snaffle bits.  Know about how horses learn.  Understand Euthansia.  Know about the horses’s five senses.  Know equine welfare – 3 F’s – Freedom, Friends and Forage.  Know regulations of fitting boots according to FEI rules and regulations.
